What is the significance of finishing hot-dip galvanized sheets?

With the expanding use of hot-dip galvanized sheet, in modern continuous hot-dip galvanizing unit of strip steel, the following purposes can be achieved through the finishing of strip steel:
① Improve the straightness and flatness of the sheet, but also the surface of the zinc particles can be flattened, so that the surface of the strip is smooth, which is particularly advantageous for the subsequent deep drawing and other use of high precision occasions;
②The finishing rollers used are pre-shot peened, so that the surface of the finished plate has a certain roughness. It improves the adhesion of the coating and stores a certain amount of grease, which is beneficial to the lubrication of the die in deep-drawing processing;
(iii) For the plated plate to be painted later, although the surface is controlled to be small zinc flowers, the small zinc flowers can still be revealed through the paint layer. Therefore, for some demanding galvanized sheets, the surface of the small zinc flower needs to go through the finishing process again. This will give the galvanized sheet a more uniform silver-white appearance;
(4) By finishing, the lower yield point can be lowered, so that the yield platform disappears or is less obvious, which can prevent the slip line from appearing in the subsequent tensile or deep-drawing process, and improve the deep-drawing property.
